We need more of them.
1949 Cadillac, built or the La Carrera Panamericana.
It has a supercharged LSA out of a CTS-V.
Sweet driftage.

I might swap out the wheels for a set of red steelies like that one has, they look so good.

Originally a Chevelle Deluxe. The Laguna nose, hood, fenders, doors and decklid were all Fiberglass.
She was still 3900lbs with me in inside.

holy cow, that is awesome on a number of levels, (straight pipes on that LSA?) Wonder if there isn’t a little corporate Cadillac money behind that project.

I love Lagunas, they’re so overlooked.

Not that big, but completely awesome nonetheless.
![]() 06/04/2016 at 21:56 |

They certainly should have, that’s the kind of thing I’d take to car shows to put next to a new CTS-V.

I really want a Can Am. But all of the 73-77 cars are overlooked.

I don’t usually like the standard front with RS (shorty) bumpers look, but that car pulls it off.

There’s a ‘77 for sale at Fastlane in St.Louis. It’s my favorite thing in their showroom right now.

I like the split bumpers better than the later full bumper.
![]() 06/04/2016 at 22:08 |
|
The split bumper was part of the RS option while the full length was on the standard, all for 70-73. A real RS front looks like this with a urethane nose and the turn signals up beside the headlights.
The standard front with the full width bumper has the turn signals below the bumper. They use the same brackets so it’s easy to bolt the small bumpers on a standard front, like the one you pictured but normally the standard front looks like this:

The splitter really helps make the front of those cars look better. I’d love to have one.
![]() 06/04/2016 at 22:15 |

I agree, the front spoiler really looks good on those cars. As soon as I get to the “do fun stuff” stage on my ‘71 I want to put one on. A previous owner already put the big rear spoiler on it.
![]() 06/04/2016 at 22:16 |

The ducktail spoiler is also a must on these.
![]() 06/04/2016 at 22:18 |
|
The small Z28 spoiler doesn’t look bad, but when they don’t have any spoiler they just don’t look right.

I’ve been in love with that Caddy ever since I read that original article.

Me too, any excuse to remind people that it exists is worthwhile.

Yes. Most definitely.

I love watching that thing hunt down McLarens and Ferraris.

Interestingly, not actually 7/8th scale, but had a TON of tiny aero improvements all over.
